Here’s a little breakdown of one of my favourite scene from the last project I directed at Antimatter. The 3D rotation was simulated using shape layers and masks. Then I started adding car details and background elements that I had previously designed in Illustrator. Finally, I passed the rough animation to Simone Di Rocco, who used it as a reference to animate characters frame by frame in ToonBoom.
