First, we will look at some important adjectives: beautiful, cute important, exciting, boring, delicious, inconvenient, busy, lively, friendly, loud, costly, funny, crowded, healthy, weird. When comparing things we use these adjectives, but we need to change them – one syllable adjectives need an er ending / y adjectives change to ier / more than one syllable uses more or less. We will look at these topics: sports, pets, dishes, seasons, pastime. We will practice these question forms: which (…) do you think is better, (…) or (…)? What’s your opinion on (…)? What do you think about (…)? Experiences and Describing Feelings – we will talk about our experiences and how to describe them using key adjectives – amazed/amazing, bored/boring, interested/interesting plus many more. We will look at the positive and negative meanings of these adjectives. We will talk about – look/watch/see. We will practice some questions – Where did you go?, Who did you go with?, How did you get there?, What did you do?, What did you see?, What did you eat? Plus a lot more. Dictation cards and shadowing practice – 1. would you like smoking or non-smoking? 2. there will be a … minute wait. 3. how much of a tip should I leave? 4. it’s on me. 5. would you like a table of a booth? Great! let me know when it’s done so that I can read it. Sure will. What have you been up to? Same old stuff. Nothing new with me. Lolly’s Revenge – Sue – Joe, which place do you think is better, Disneyland or a hot spring? Joe -why do you ask? Sue – I’m planning a trip with my co-workers. Joe – well, if I were you, I’d go to a hot spring. Sue – why do yo say that? Joe – well, a hot spring is more relaxing than Disneyland and it’s cheaper, too. Sue – good points, Joe. However, Disneyland is more exciting and more convenient. Joe – that’s true, but I still like a hot spring more than Disneyland.
