Scalar Physical quantity It is the physical quantity that has magnitude only and has no direction . Examples of some scalar physical quantities and their measuring units : Mass → Kilogram (kg) Length (or distance) → Metre (m) Energy → Joule Time → Second or Hour Speed → m/s or Km/h Temperature → K or °C or °F The radius, area and density are examples of scalar physical quantities. Vector physical quantities It is the physical quantity that has magnitude and direction .
