The question is quite hard to answer because how much time to spend in learning English varies from one person to another and on what goal each has. The advice I would probably give is to divide your learning time to four quarters. One quarter should be devoted to studying alone. Use all materials that you can like books, magazines, online articles, etc. The other three quarters should be spent by using the English language in whatever way you can.
